Aline Ordman Pastel Workshop in Lexington, Kentucky
Join us in the beautiful Bluegrass region of Lexington, Kentucky for a 2 day Pastel Workshop with Aline Ordman on October 14-15, 2025. The workshop will take place at the Artists Attic in downtown Lexington at 401 West Main Street from 9 am- 4pm. both days. Aline joins us from her home state of Vermont. She has been featured in the Pastel Journal and Plein Air magazine. Aline has reached the highest credentials of Eminent Pastelist with IAPS and Master pastelist with the Pastel Society of America. She is also a signature member of the American Impressionist Society and the Oil Painters of America. Aline teaches workshops throughout the USA and Europe and this will be her first ever workshop in Kentucky.
In her workshops, Aline focuses on thinking creatively to create dynamic pastel paintings. She teaches you to find an inspired focus in a photo which can be broken down into abstract elements. Working within this concept, Aline shows you how to break down what you see into painterly shapes with color and expressive marks. Shadow and light patterns are emphasized in her work with direction and color. Her workshop will include demonstrations and one-to one time as artists work through their paintings.
